Delta welcomes the new year with plans for expanding its Indigenous People Series, first introduced in 2003. The maker initially offered three limited editions within the series, each names for an ancient people, , authentic representatives of thier land: the Maasai, the Native Americans and the Inuit.

In 2004, Delta will produce three more limited editions. The first of these is the Tuareg, dedicated to the people of western Africa who share a common language and live in communities bordering the Sahara. Production is Limited to 1,830 fountain pens with vermeil trim, 1830 fountain pens with sterling silver trim and 1830 covertible rollerball pens with sterling silver trim. In addition there will be 21 fountain pens in a special Celebration version with gold bands, one set with six diamonds.

The next is the Cossacks which are dedicated to the peasant soldiers of the Ukraine. In 1569, under Polish rule, the Cossacks developed as a figthing force defending thier lands from Tatar raids. Production is Limited to 1569 fountain pens with vermeil trim,sterling silver fittings and a silver-trimmed rollerball pen - 1569 pieces of each. The Celebration likewise uses gold bands and diamonds on the 69 fountain pens.

The last is the Maori: dedicated to the New Zealand native people. Production numbers in this edition are based on the year 1642 which marked the arrival of the first Europeans in New Zealand. There are 1642 fountain pens with Vermeil trim, 1642 convertible rollerball pens with sterling silver trim. A celebration edition of 42 fountain pens will have gold bands and six diamonds on the central ring
